We “met” in 2014, as freshmen in high school. I put “met” in quotes, because we only knew of each other, but we never talked or had any classes together. Arthur was secretly in love with Makayla based off what he knew about her, which was her taste in music. 

We remained acquaintances until Fall of 2019, when we started snapchatting each other and Arthur worked up the courage to ask Makayla to go to the gym with him. We went to the gym, which led to Jamba Juice (Arthur finished the rest of Makayla’s smoothie *gasp*), which led to a hike. We started talking to each other and never stopped. After multiple nights of texting until 3am, and Makayla “accidentally” FaceTiming Arthur, we knew we had something special. 

Brought together by our odd sense of humor, and a combined love for music and food, we became each other’s best friends, navigating adulthood hand in hand. In our 5 years of dating, we’ve moved to another city, moved into an apartment together, graduated from school, attended 3 concerts, lost a family dog, adopted two kitties, and made countless memories along the way. 

Together, we’ve discovered that the best adventures are the ones we create with each other and we feel so grateful for our partnership. We’re so excited to share our special day with those who’ve been a part of our journey!
